Aaron

I consider myself extremely blessed to be surrounded by an amazing group of women. Women I can do life with. I have a group of friends from my church who I consider my soul sisters. We all had our first babies around the same time and now recently had our second babies all within four months of each other! {Needless to say, our play dates have gotten a little crazier!} Angela is one of those friends. Her daughter Ava is one of Jackson's best friends! Fun fact: Ava was nine pounds twelve ounces when she was born. This time around, Andrew and Angela knew they were bound to have another big baby. Well Aaron did not disappoint! He entered the world March 1st weighing a whopping TEN pounds five ounces!

What was the first thing you thought when you saw your baby for the first time?

He was beautiful (and big!), and I was so happy he had arrived safely!

What was your favorite part about our session together? How did you prepare the baby for our photo shoot? How was your experience having your newborn photographed? Were you nervous or worried before? How did it turn out?

I loved that Angie made the session fun and enjoyable. She is so great with kids and was able to convince our reluctant toddler to sit, and even smile, for some adorable shots. We made sure Aaron was fed before the session, but also took a break to feed him again so that he stayed content during the session. I was worried that he would wake up or be fussy, but he slept through the entire session. Angie did a great job keeping him warm and comfortable.

What would be your advice to someone getting newborn photographs taken? What kinds of things did you worry about before and during the session?

Feed your baby right before the session, if possible, so that he/she stays content.

Do you have other children? How do they react to the baby? What do they like to do together? Do you have any cute stories about their relationship?

Yes, we have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, Ava. She loves Aaron (most of the time!) and is so proud to be a big sister. She loves to tell people, "That's my baby", and she talks to him in the sweetest voice. Whenever he's laying on the floor she always wants to lay right next to him and show him toys.

These are so adorable. I love that last family image at the end. This family is in for so much joy and you captured the start of that journey just perfectly.
