Waiting on Baby

Ashleigh found me through a friend, Lisa - who I also happened to do maternity photos for. She requested a woodsy location and I immediately knew where I wanted to take her! This place is amazing with lots of awesome trails and small streams running everywhere. It was the perfect spot for this session! Ashleigh showed up looking awesome and Riley was having a blast just being in the woods! Their session went very smoothly and Ashleigh was a trooper changing gowns in the middle of the trail!

As always, here's a little fun Q&A from Ashleigh...
What's the first thing that ran through your mind when you both found out you were pregnant?

Just a miracle and how blessed we were.

What have been the most memorable parts of this pregnancy?

My maternity photography session & listening to our baby girls heart beat

What was your favorite part about our session together?

Completing our session for the wood theme! It turned out great and was awesome the environment we both have chosen

How did you prepare for our photo shoot? How was your experience? Were you nervous or worried before? How did it turn out?

There wasn't much preparing besides thoughts of wood theme and trying something different. I was nervous, no worries, and anxious/excited to have the session for our little girl to see one day. The photos turned out beautifully, a million words to one photo, definitely be able to cherish these photos the rest of our lives

What would be your advice to someone getting maternity photographs taken?

Relax, enjoy the session whether cold or hot out;) enjoy the actual moments for one day you will look back and remember how beautiful it was to be pregnant

Do you have other children? How do they react to the pregnancy? Feel free to share about them here.

Yes, I have a son, who's almost 3. He understands "mommy has a baby in the belly" but is still learning the steps of actually being a big brother. I'm sure once she arrives, it will all sink in for him! He continues to rub my belly and say "baby?" To make sure she's still there
