Grace For a Hard Year | Angie Englerth Photography

Grace for a Hard Year

This past year was one of the most challenging seasons of my life.

Our adoption brought incredible joy, but it also brought challenges that Ben and I had to learn how to walk through together. It stretched our marriage, our routines, our emotions, and our faith. In many of the hardest moments, it was Jesus who held us together when we did not have the strength to hold ourselves together.

If I am being honest, this was not a year where my business was thriving. Most days, my energy was focused on my home and my family. There were seasons where simply showing up was all I had to give. And in those moments, the Lord met us with grace, reminding me that faithfulness matters far more than productivity.

I am deeply grateful for the way God made space for our family this year. He slowed us down when we needed it. He carried us through days that felt heavy. And He continually reminded us that His provision does not always look like abundance, but it always looks like exactly what we need.

I am also incredibly grateful for my clients. Your patience, kindness, and trust were a tangible expression of God’s care for us during this season. You allowed me to step back when my family needed me most, while still giving me the privilege of documenting some of your most meaningful moments. That gift is not lost on me.

As we step into a new year, my hope is simple. That we continue to grow and bond together as a family. That Ben and I keep walking closely together, anchored in truth, compassion, and grace as we guide our children through both the joyful and heavier parts of their stories. And that I find a better rhythm where my business and my home can coexist with more balance and intention, leaving room for the sacred, often unseen work happening within our family.

This past year reminded me that success is not measured by momentum or numbers. It is measured by obedience, trust, and reliance on Jesus. He has carried us through every hard moment, and I know He will continue to carry us in the days ahead.

As I look toward 2026, I am opening my calendar with that same heart and intention. I am committed to serving families who value presence, connection, and photographs that tell the story of what matters most. If you are hoping to document a season ahead, whether welcoming a new baby or simply preserving your family as you are right now, I would be honored to walk that season with you.
